So the first season of Tball was over back in May...mmmmhhhhmmmm, I'm a little behind! It took her a little while to like it because she wasn't very good but when she started catching some balls and hit the ball off the T she was ok. In one of her games she tripped going to first base so she was mad for a little bit but she got over it and continued to play. She played with a girl from our neighborhood and 2 other girls that she knew from the gym play area. After the season was over we had a swim/pizza party at one of the girls house where they received their tropies and just played together all day! The coaches were so patient and so great! We have signed her up again for Tball with her friends so I'm excited to see how she plays this time :)

Hannah's visit

My youngest sister's oldest, Hannah, came for a visit for 10 days and it was awesome! She was so excited to come to the heat because if you lived in Washington State you probably would feel the same way. She loved it here, so she says, and she was such a big helper and friend to Kassidy. It was kinda nice to have an older kid here to play with and I just left them in the morning while they slept and I went to my second home (yes, the gym). While she was here we took her to In-N-Out probably 5 times, we went to a really cute cupcake place for her 12th birthday, we saw the musical Annie in Queen Creek, we went to a baseball game, we went to the big Sweeties candy store where she picked out stuff for her family, I took her and my 2 cousin's girls that are 12 and 14 for a night out at the mall and a sleepover, went to Bass Pro Shop for crafts and stuff, and we swam a lot! Kassidy is now diving and swimming under water so she's having a lot more fun when we swim with other kids that are doing that. On a side note...Kassidy is now jumping off of the diving board at Basha pool! I'm so proud of her. So anywho...we are so happy that Hannah could come and stay with us. I had told Kassidy like a month before she was coming, that she was coming, and so she wrote a letter to her, drew her pictures and asked every day if tomorrow she was gonna be here...it was so cute and I was so happy that she could see her again, she was on that girl like a fly to poop! Sorry to Hannah, hehe. I thought Kassidy was gonna pee her pants on the drive over to pick her up from the airport...ahhhh the anticipation of fun! We miss you Hannah :)

Twix our kitten has discovered the dog door and is now a roamer in the neighborhood and I'm not happy about that and neither is Kassidy. Oh poor Kassidy, this is what happened the other night.

It was around 7:30pm and Kassidy was getting ready to go to bed and we hear the click of the dog door which meant Twixy was going out for the night (she just started doing this) and Kassidy said we needed to go get her so I went out back and was calling her in when Chandler our dog decided to chase her as I was coming in and all of a sudden I hear Kassidy just start having a panic attack, sobbing and screaming "chandler made twixy run" and she's pointing towards the back wall and after I got out where she went, it happened to be up the tree. So I had to calm Kassidy down and tell her it was ok, the kitty knows how to climb and get down but she was not believing me so because I'm such a great mom, hehe, I keep telling her it's ok and I'll go rescue poor Twixy. She goes inside and watches me from the window as I get a chair and reached up to grab the kitty. Hopefully no one was driving and looking over our wall or they would have got a show! So I got the kitty and all was fine and Kassidy was smiling and took her to her room to go to bed...after yelling at Chandler for making her go up the tree :)

This is going to be a bad thing if this little kitty gets eaten...I don't even want to know what Kassidy will do!

I cried already

Danny and I took Kassidy to register for Kindergarten and all was fine. We met with a lady there and filled out all the paperwork and wala, it's done. Kassidy is SO excited to ride the bus to school and told me I couldn't take her. She can't wait to start Kindergarten with all her friends. So we are walking to the car and I'm feeling myself getting a little emotional and I'm like, serious? I'm not gonna cry, this is crazy! So I call my little sister and tell her I just registered her and we are talking and all of a sudden I just start crying, yes, I couldn't hold it back and Danny is looking at me and says, why are you crying and I respond with I don't know! But I better stop since I'm driving the car. WOW, if that is what happens...look out at the bus stop when she goes the first day!!!

New gadget

I got the Magic Bullet a couple weeks ago and I don't know what I did without it...oh ya, I used the huge blender and had to clean it everyday...along with a cup! This is 1 step to blend and drink from and all I have to do is stick the cup in the dishwasher (i got 4 more) and rinse off the blade, that easy. This thing is awesome and really powerful. I recommend getting one.

Kassidy's first sleepover

Kassidy was so excited to have her first sleepover last night she was jumping out of her skin! This girl has wanted to have one forever so when our neighbor friend Crissy and Rachel invited her for a Saturday night sleepover I really couldn't say no. I just figured, no biggie we'll just pick her up around 7am to get to church by 8:30am but then we figured that since Danny was leaving for CA again Sunday then we'll just let her sleep in a little, I would head to church by myself and then when Danny left he would drop her off in time for Primary...great plan!

Saturday morning came, Kassidy was on our bed at 8am just staring at us and we asked her what's up and she gave us this look like, hello???? and then proceeded to say, "when am I going to my sleepover, I want to go now". Ummm not yet girlfriend, it's later today around dinner. So needless to say she kept asking all day when it was time to go, it was so cute! As Saturday morning went on Danny and I were planning what to do with all this free time and decided that Kassidy and I would ditch church so Danny and I could just be out all night and me not to have to worry about getting up early so I got a sub for my class and I was excited...just like Kassidy. 4pm came and Crissy came over with her 2 girls, the older girl's friend and their bikes to pick up Kassidy and away they went around the corner with Kassidy waving at us and probably saying "peace out parents". Danny and I left right after that and were in bed by 2am Sunday morning...that was weird and so fun. We actually ran into 2 different families from church in our excursions and they all asked "where was the little one" and of course with big smiles we said she was at her first sleepover and, I have to tell you, they were a bit jelous, hehe. Kassidy did so great, Crissy sent me a text with a picture of them with popcorn and a movie and I think they got to bed around 11pm. I put my cell by my bed just in case and what do you know...4:43am I got a call that Kassidy wanted to come home (we really thought she would make it the whole night) so I drove over and picked her up and we all slept in until 10am! I guess the reason why she woke up was that Rachel had accidently taken off Kassidy's blanket so Kassidy got cold, hehe. We all thought she got scared...but really who knows the true story and it doesn't matter, she wanted to come home. That's ok, she did so good for her first time and we can't wait to have Rachel over to sleep at our house :)

Cones and donuts - the simple pleasures...not so simple for Kassidy.

Can you imagine not being able to eat an ice cream cone and better yet, not tasting one until you are 4...almost 5 years old? I just found some gluten/wheat free cones so I bought some and was so excited for Kassidy to try ice cream in a cone! I filled the cone, gave it to her, she licked it up...she's never "licked" ice cream...and she got to the cone. Oh my gosh, the suspense was killing me, I really wanted to know what she thought of it, so she finally get to it and takes and bite and guess what...she didn't like it!!!! What? Serious? Wow, I was excited for nothing I guess. I was so sad she didn't like it, she said it tasted like nothing. WOW! Oh well, I guess I can save my money on $FIVE dollar cones and keep it in the cup.

I tried the cone, it's fine...so pooey on you Kassidy!

One more thing:

They do make gluten/wheat free donuts but I had never found them with the sprinkles on top. Kassidy LOVES sprinkles, she puts them on everything. I found sprinkle donuts ($6 for 6 of them) and she had one...she LOVES them.

A GOAL!!! Kassidy scored her first goal at her soccer game today and she was jumping up and down after she did it, she is so proud of herself! lol. Way to go Kassidy :)

I also have to give a big shout out to her team, they ALL scored a goal today and Bubbas (a.k.a. Elias Jensen, lol) scored TWO goals and was so proud of himself also! It was such a fun game.

I'm confused, this is so weird! This company sells toasters that will burn the image of Jesus on it. So what's the purpose of Jesus toast? Wouldn't you feel weird biting off Jesus' head? Hmmmm, apparently this company also does toasters that burn a marijuana leaf on it. I guess there's a theme for every type of person. Seems like a really cool Christmas gift, NOT. Maybe I should order one for the next "white elephant" gift, that could be really funny!

Soccer game #1 - A BUST

This morning was the first soccer game! She's SO DANG CUTE with her little outfit on. Danny was pretty cute too with the BRIGHT LIME GREEN shirt. It was hilarious, when he went to go pick up the shirts he was dying when he saw the color because if there is any color on the planet that he despises it's BRIGHT LIME GREEN. hehehe

Here's a little background first. Kassidy had run a fever of 104 on Thurs. and around 101 on Fri. so I was really concerned and sad that she wouldn't be able to make her first game but as Fri. went along her fever broke and was fine the rest of the day so we figured she could come, dressed ready to play and if she felt good she could sub in for a few minutes at a time.

Danny wanted to be a the field a few minutes earlier so Kassidy and I came a little bit later but we were 5 min. late, not knowing it was gonna take us 15 min. to walk to the field! Geez, we'de never done this before so now I know! So when we got there the game should have already started, but go figure, we only had 2 players! Serious? Where was everyone? Why are you signed up for soccer and you aren't playing, especially the first game, and if you weren't gonna be there why didn't you let the coach know? So Danny's a little distraught that we may forfeit our very first game but hey, whatever I guess. So we started the game with 1 from the other team and then Kassidy and Luke. 5 min. later the other little girl showed up and at this point, to make matters worse, the coaches daughter (yes, that would be Kassidy) didn't want to play anymore so she decides to walk off the field. Luckily Ria had joined us now so the game was then played by Luke, Ria and the other teams teammate. I'm so glad they were nice to do that so they could at least have some fun! Meanwhile I'm over on the sidelines trying to get Kassidy to go play and she refuses, saying she's embarrased. K, I've gone through this before when I've signed her up for a dance class but this time I'm embarrased and mad because she's letting down the team and these poor little things are hot! At the half point we decide to take out a kid and just go plop Kassidy down in the middle of the field and she can just stand there. I told her if you don't want to kick the ball then fine, if you want to, then fine, just be in there so Ria can take a break. That's what she did...just stood there until Danny finally kicked her off and put Ria back in for the last little bit. The kids did so good and it was so fun to watch! I really hope Kassidy wants to join in next Sat. or else she's gonna pay me back my money and I'll have no shame to put that little girl to work, so please if you come by our house next Sat. and she's mowing the lawn, trimming the trees, putting up Christmas lights, don't call CPS, I've got it under control!

Labor Day fun

This year for Labor Day Ben and his family came over. We went swimming, tossed water balloons, ate, ran around like crazies, painted rocks, ate, swam, ate, ate...you get the idea. It was so much fun to see them, we haven't seen them in a while, thanks guys for inviting yourselves over or we would have been bored! LOL.

Swimming and Soccer

Kassidy is taking swimming lessons on Saturdays and is doing so well. She went from being scared to put her face into the water to jumping off of our rock waterfall! We also just signed her up for soccer. Daddy is the coach. Soccer practice is on Thursday nights and 2 of her friends are on her team, the other 2 are boys that we don't know but knowing her, she will make them her friends!

CA trip - Monday

Here's our Monday.

Kassidy wakes up with THE weirdest hairdo and face that I've ever seen and I was laughing so hard at her that I had to take a picture. She's gonna love me when I get older. We met up with a lady that I used to work with at WellPoint a few years ago, the job I had before moving to AZ. We went to lunch at Cheesecake Factory, walked the mall, went to the pet store, went to the play area, ate the most fabulous ice cream concoction and shopped a little. Then we went off to Target to look around and walk...needed it after that ice cream indulgence! We had a lot of fun with Carla :)

CA trip - Sunday

So today we skipped church, yes we did. We got up at around 10am and went out to the pool to relax. Kassidy is becoming a good swimmer and it was really nice to sit back and watch daddy and Kassidy swim around as I worked on my tan. Later in the day I met up with 2 friends that I haven't seen in 13 years! I'm so grateful right now for Facebook. I met up with my bestest friend that moved when we were around 13 and I got to see her while we were up in Oregon and then 2 more best buddies from Texaco where I used to work in Universal City, CA and haven't seen them in 12 years! I didn't even take a picture of us, dang it, but none of us have aged, lol, really though we all look exactly the same! It was so much fun, we sat at P.F. Changs, ate lunch and talked for 4 hours...I'm sure they were glad when we finally left and left them with butt imprints. Danny was hanging out with Kassidy and went to dinner and did a couple fun things together. Sunday was a kick back day and very relaxing.

CA trip - Saturday

Danny gets to go to California most every year for work (which happens to be where we grew up in the LA area and is free). It's always so fun to go back and see the beach, friends and get out of the AZ heat! I seriously don't miss CA drivers though, I'm scared driving here, I grip the wheel so hard I have to pry my fingers off when I stop the car to get out. I'm like a nervous old lady and I can't believe I used to be one of those crazy aggresive drivers but you have to be or your gonna get ran over! We got to stay this year at the Westlake Hyatt which is very nice and only 30 min. away from the beaches. I figured I would do a little blog every day so it doesn't take me 50 years to get them on here like our last trip that we just did. I wonder if Kassidy is getting sick of the car? lol. We had a great time at the beach today and hung out with daddy, Kassidy misses him! My phone camera does not take good pics but this is all I got, I'll have to remember to bring my camera next time.

Things we saw at the beach today:
- seagulls helping themselves to our snacks while we were having family frolicking (good word huh?) time in the water
- young guy probably in his late 30's with an older lady probably in her 70's laying together on the sand. she was seriously tore up wrinkly from the sun...and not to mention u.g.l.y.
- 2 young boogyboarders who didn't know how to boogy board
- feet/legs buried in the sand
- huge sand crab
- tons of seewead
- no cute lifeguards, just an old man
- porta potties lined up by the side of the road that we got to visit

3 week road trip - part 4 (the end)

Finally, the last of my pictures :) This is at the beach house my sister and her husband's cousin rented that we were lucky enough to take advantage of and it was so much fun! The only sucky part was that it was cold pretty much the whole time so I didn't catch any suntan but I did enjoy being away from the AZ heat and actually using a hot tub at this time of year. Kassidy is a pretty cautious person so she's nervous to do things but when she saw the kids her age swimming and putting their heads under the water in the spa...well she had to show me she could do it to. I was so proud of her and since we've been home she has taken off in our swimming pool, and by that i mean she is swimming with her head under water and jumping off the sides and all sorts of things...without a life vest! We got to see some cool scenery though, the coast there is beautiful and very different from CA. The memories we have from this adventure are priceless and I can't wait to go again next year...i hope :)

3 week road-trip part 2

After Salt Lake we went to Vancouver WA and had the most fun ever! It was my biggest joy to watch Kassidy play with her cousins ALL DAY long! She has never played all day long non-stop so by bedtime she was tired. And by play I mean running around and just doing whatever! I was able to talk to my sister and hang out with her while the kids all played. They live at the end of a culd-a-sac so we didn't have to be outside the whole time. The weather was perfect and Kassidy just had a blast! My ex-bro in law was also there with his and my other sister's 3 kids to spend the 4th of July so my sister had a house full, luckily they have a big house, so there were 8 cousins all together under 1 roof.

Some of the highlights were going to the Portland Saturday Market, riding on a train, seeing by bestest friend that I hadn't seen since we were 13, going to a 4th of July party and scaring the crap out of my 3 year old niece, going to the Oregon coast to a beach house, eating fresh crab melts that my bro in law caught, meeting one of Ahtanya Rigg's daughters who is in my sister's ward at church (small world), seeing some amazing scenery!

3 week road-trip part 1

Kassidy and I were not planning on going on a road trip but when I was talking to a friend who was going on a road trip and she says well, maybe you can come with us, especially since my husband isn't coming and it would be great to have the help in the car so I say, let's totally do it! This was Monday and she was leaving Fri. so I went into a frenzy to try to figure this all out to be able to go with her and to go with little money. I spent ALL day that day and at 9pm finally had it all figured out!! whewwwwwww, roadtrip, here we come! I was TOTALLY excited because the whole plan why I went with her was to see my sister and for Kassidy to see her cousins. She hadn't seen her cousins since she was almost 18 months so she didn't really remember them.

p.s. thank you Lyndsey for letting us tag along, not sure if you really thought I would take you up on the offer but it was too good to pass up! Hope I was a good car helper!

This was the itinerary:
-Drive to Vegas, spend the night
-Wake up and drive to St. George for Lyndsey to do a Pampered Chef party
-Leave from there to drive to Salt Lake
-Stay in Salt Lake for 5 days (her at her family's, me at friends)
-Leave SL and head to Boise for dinner with her sister
-Continue on to Kennewick ID where she'll spend the night and leave the next morning for WA and my sister will pick me up to take me to Vancouver WA (ya, we got into WA around 2:30am!)
-Stay in WA for a few days and then leave with my sister and her family to Oregon to stay at a beach house with other friends.
-Come back to WA for 6 more days with my sister and family
-Hop on a plane to come back to Phoenix

WHEW!!! So I was wondering how these long car rides would go for the kids but I have to say all the kids did really well. A couple of my friends had mentioned to me how they were a little worried that I couldn't handle a drive with 5 kids, hehe, me? really? just because I only have 1 I can't handle it? well...they must know me but they did so well that it was great! :)

We stayed at my friend's parents house and while we were there we went bowling, had a couple play dates, went swimming at the public pool, went out for ice cream, went to the Aviery, played at Liberty Park, played games and just had a great time with friends! We seriously stayed up every night until midnight and didn't get up in the mornings until around 10am, it was crazy.

The coolest thing about this trip was that I was so upset and distraught about not being able to go to girls camp at church this year, ya, and everyone knew it, hehe. But if I would have been able to go I would have missed out on this very awesome opportunity (i had a friend point this out to me, that's what friend's are for) for Kassidy to see her cousins! So I am not mad anymore that I couldn't go to girl's camp, it was a huge blessing in disguise!

When she gives me an answer of "cuz" I always say, "cuz" is not an answer so she asked me something and I said "cuz" and she says, "cuz is not an answer mommy".

M: sure, what would you like to do?
K: - go to Allie's house and play
M: well, probably not since we can't just invite ourselves over to someone's house. do you want to go swimming instead?
K: yah!

As we are shopping in Target for a pair of cheap glasses for me, she also wants a pair to which I tell her no, you have a few pairs already so I'm not buying you glasses let's go. I start walking to the checkout as she is screaming (and I mean screaming tantrum) behind me "you are the meanest mom and I don't like you anymore". So I say "if you think I'm the meanest mom, then I'll show you the meanest mom". She continued saying it until we got to the car.

K: mommy you don't like Spongebob
M: nope sure don't
K: you don't let me watch it. daddy let's me sometimes, hehe

Today we went to Kirkland home and Kassidy just had to have these fairy wings so she could fly. They were on clearance so I agreed. She was so excited she wanted to wear them to the next place we were going to...Costco!

K, so I've been thinking about posting some before and after pics of Kassidy when she was first diagnosed with Celiac Disease but struggled with it because I didn't want to do it for sympathy or to gross anyone out (cuz you know she looks gross here) but I decided to do it because I know alot of my friends in our current ward didn't know us before and as I've tried to describe Kassidy and what she looked like I can't do it justice, you just have to see pics. We have done a very good job with trying to keep her healthy and making sure her diet doesn't include wheat or gluten and she herself has done a great job because we have made her aware of what she can't eat from the beginning. We just got her results from her blood test and at 18 months her numbers were reading greater than 100 (which is very bad) to now reading at 33. The range of numbers they use is from 30 to 250 so as you can see she is on the lowest end of normal range and I couldn't be happier! She couldn't be happier, lol, she was so not a happy child back then! This is something she will never grow out of, she will struggle with it her entire life but thankfully some yummy things have come out in the last 2 1/2 years!

So starting at the bottom (cuz i can't fix it) the first picture is at 1 year old (she's chubby and healthy looking), the second and third pictures are only 6 months later at 18 months (which is when she was diagnosed, she went down to 15 pounds). The fourth picture is only 2 months later from eating wheat/gluten free food and as you can see it's a HUGE improvement just in 2 months! The last one is obviously current, it was taken last summer.

She did so good, I'm so proud of her! She had her first "happy visit" a little while ago where she met the dentist and just counted teeth and this was now her first cleaning. Besides gripping the side handles of the seat she was very brave and did everything they told her to do :) She kept trying to close her little mouth and the girl kept having to say "open wide". I did have an "i'm not a good parent" moment because they told me that she needed to floss better and showed me the crap they took out of her teeth...so...we better start flossing because we actually never have, didn't even think about doing that with a 4 year old.

Good job Kassidy, I'm very proud of you :)

What a Disneyland day!

We FINALLY took our first trip with Kassidy to Disneyland for her birthday that was back in Dec. She seriously had perma grin all day long and after the day was over she said I want to go back again and again and again! When we asked her what rides she liked the most she said teacups and pirates of the caribbean. What was funny is the first time we went on pirates she was scared of the noise and we didn't tell her that there was a drop so when we got to the top just before the drop I decided she should know or else I think we might have to do CPR and I don't know if I can remember that so I told her and she was fine, she didn't cry or anything...just in shock I think. We went all over the place and she was in heaven! I'm so glad we were able to do that for her :) We missed all the princesses though because we didn't know that they are in their "stations" at certain times during the day, I thought they just waked around all day and you could take pictures with them, um, nope and I was mad! We did get to see Tiana though which is the one Kassidy kept asking if she was gonna be there and she was very pretty! We tried to trick her to ride the log ride but then realized she was too short anyway. We got there around noon and left about 9:15pm when she started yawning but seriously, she is a party girl and could have stayed there all night! My friend in CA was so nice and let us stay at her house...bonus...she was only 1 mile away from Disneyland! It was fun to see her, her husband and their 6 month old baby :) Thank you Stacey!!! And thank you Disneyland for putting smiles on us ALL DAY LONG!

Kassidy is finally going poop on the toilet and I'm so excited...and apparently she was too! She has done it a couple times before but then stops so this time we are going full force and "making" her do it because I'm so sick of spending money on diapers and changing them. For the last 2 days we've sat with her for hours trying to get her to go and last night she was left alone and she went all by herself...if we only knew she just didn't like an audience! lol.

I was at a concert so I missed the whole excitement! She was so proud of herself she was dancing around shouting, YA YA YA and putting up her arms in the air. She's had a bowl of toys and candy in her bathroom to pick out every time she goes so for the first one Danny gave her a few of them and Kassidy tells them, "see I told you I would save you". She cracks me up!! This is a huge deal for her to overcome (either that or she's COMPLETELY stubborn) so I'm very proud of her.

and she won't stop! She's been trying to whistle for like a year now and she has finally figured it out, I'm so proud of her! Apparently she needed to let all the primary kids see that she could whistle because she did it for like 5 min. last sunday and they had to make her stop. Way to go Kassidy :)

Adventures at Hobby Lobby

So today a friend brought me to Hobby Lobby and can I say, I LOVE that store! Dang, they have such cool stuff and you can browse for like 24 hours I swear!

Today wasn't a great day though for Kassidy, she was honry all day long. Some of the things that happened today:

a. we see a short older lady looking at beads and she says to me, "mommy you are taller than that lady and she is old"

b. we are standing in line to pay and a man backs up to get into another line and his hair is gray, long and in a ponytal and kassidy says, "mommy that guy has a ponytail...that's weird".

c. as I am paying she decides to throw a fit because she wanted the hello kitty book she got and I would'nt give it to her yet. she starts hitting me all the way out of the store and screaming, getting worse, because now I tell her she lost it until tomorrow!

I know there were more things that happened today but now I just can't think of any more that are worth telling.

So on another note, kids call things how they are. I'm not mad when she says things like what happened in example a or b above or things like "i hope my black friend is at the gym today" because I don't want to put prejudeces in her mind (is my thought) but I'm always concerned about what those people are thinking when she says innocent stuff like that. I hope they don't think she is mean, come on she's 4, but I do tell her later that maybe part of what she said was not ok, like that the ponytail was weird. I know that when she gets a little older I can explain things in a little more detail if she continues to say things like these because at age 12 I think those people would really be offended, lol.

I hope tomorrow is a better day :)

OH MY HEAVENS TO BETSY...THAT WAS HARD.

Here's how this whole this started and just to warn you I'm going to write a novel here :) My friend Stefney had a dream/goal to run a 1/2 marathon and when I had lost weight I had a goal to run a 4.2 mile run so when I started training for the Pat Tilman run last Feb. she decided to start running and training for a 10K to run on Thanksgiving. Well she did a 10K before Thanksgiving and was now ready to train for the PF Chang's 1/2 marathon! She tried for a couple months to convince me to do it with her and I was like, no way, I have NO desire to run 13 miles if I had a choice, hehe. SO fast forward to Nov. after our turkey 10K run and I'm watching Biggest Loser where they made the last few contestants run a 26 mile run (a full marathon) and as I'm watching this I am so inpsired that I call Stefney right away and tell her that I can run with her because if these people can do a full one I can certainly get off my butt and do a 1/2! Everyone kept saying that part of preperations for this was totally mental and seriously, it was! I had to wrap my brain around knowing that I really could run that far but knowing I had only ever run the most of 6 miles! So I signed up and did it!!!!

Here are some funny things about this experience. First of all we had to pick up our packets on Fri. and decided we would go out to dinner afterwards. Stefney knew of this mexican whole in the wall place that people had raved about and wanted to go so we asked a news guy where it was. He told us some directions and that it was about 7 miles from where we were, so off we went. About 20 minutes into the drive we realized um, we might not be headed in the right direction. Well crap, where the heck are we? We stop to ask directions, the guy didnt' know, so we headed back towards where we came from and stopped and asked directions again and a lady knew the streets we were looking for so we continued on. After another 10 min. or so we ended up where we started and at that point Danny had called to see if we enjoyed our dinner. We laughed and said um, we are still looking for it! He got on the computer and found out exactly where we needed to go and come to find out it was literally around the corner from where we were getting our stuff!!! We were so mad at that guy because we literally drove in a huge circle that took us 45 minutes and should have taken like 5! We were so hungry at this point that we hoped it was worth all of that! We had so much fun even though we were mad. K, this place was so GOOD! We were a little nervous when we pulled up in the dark and there were bars on the windows and we were not in a good part of Phoneix but whatever. It was a dive but you know how that goes, dives are the best places to eat!

So race day was here and Stefney picked me up at 6am and we were off. We were nervous and cold. Everything went smooth to get there, no traffic, not too bad traffic to park and a ride on a school bus to the start line. There were 3 lines for the buses, some people got the line with the "Divine" bus and some got the school bus and we were the line with the school bus. It was just funny that they had such a contrast of buses to ride, lol. We got on our bus and headed out. When we got to Phoenix we were riding along with the people walking to the start line and we saw Elvis all decked out in his running gear. By the time we got to the place to be dropped off we both had to pee so bad that our bladders hurt (I had drank a whole liter of water by then) so we ran to the port a potties and waited in this super long line and in the meantime some girl must have forgetten she was in cactus land cuz she started screaming and we look over and she has this big ball of cactus stuck right in her left butt cheek!!! LOL, we were laughing as her friend was squatting down trying to pick this thing out of her butt without getting pricked herself! Oh man, what a way to start the day! We then checked in our bag and headed AGAIN to the port a potty and started off to our corrals. K, here we go, we are really doing this! The announcer gets on the speaker and says, k you have one more last chance to back out...that was funny! Mayor Gordon and Senator McCain were at the starting line cheering everyone on when they went over the start line so off we go to run 13.1 miles! There was a lot to look at, I think we woke up the homeless people sleeping on the streets, lots of bands, cheerleaders and just supporters who came out of their houses to cheer us on, it was a lot of fun. By about mile 7 I got some burst of energy and picked up the pace a tad but then a little bit later I felt my IT band start to hurt and then I felt like I had to poo but it's that constipated feeling so then I wasn't totally comfortable and I'm like, wow, this is gonna suck to run another 6 miles feeling like this but it is what it is at that point. My leg stopped hurting and I was able to get to about mile 10 and then to my dismay I had to STOP and WALK! Wow, at that point it seriously hurt my muscles to stop and walk! I was really disappointed but in my head I had already prepared mentally that I may have to walk becuase of my IT band. So for the next 2 miles I ran/walked but the feelings I felt was that I wish my leg didn't hurt because I was so excited to be almost done that I really wanted to pick up the pace and run the next 3 miles pushing myself! Well, at the last mile my leg totally gave out and I couldn't run at all and I think if I wasn't prepared that might happen, I probably would have just cried! Anyway, I finished at 2 hours and 55 min. and wanted to just lay down and curl up into a ball...I was in pain and my muscles hurt so bad! I was so glad this was over and it felt good to accomplish that.

Stefney and I met up after she used the UPS guy's phone to call my phone to leave a message so when I picked up my bag I knew where to find her. It was just comical, this experience with her :) We went to the PF Chang's tent and got some lettuce wraps and ate those, our granola bars from our friends, soaked in the events and then headed home treating ourselves to Sprinkles cupcakes and a half of an in-n-out burger. We were laughing saying we should have run in our dresses and tennis shoes so we could go straight to church after our run and pretend like nothing just fazed us but we would be all sweaty. I guess you probably had to be there because I think we were just acting so strange from lack of sleep and on a high. There were some interesting outfits during the run and I wish I could have had a camera to capture some moments. All in all now that I've had some time to think about this whole thing I might actually run another one, really prepared, not have my leg hurt so I can push myself and really see what I'm made of :)

Am I ready? I don't know, I thought I was but now I have so much nervous energy I need to go run...wait I can't because I'm running 13.1 miles tomorrow! I guess I need to go find some walking to do, maybe the mall is a good place. Am I crazy for doing this? I'll let you know tomorrow!

I got my bib, timing tag, cute outfit, energy drink, granola bar, driving/parking instructions, bag, extra shirt, running gum, excitement, car...next...wake up at 5:30am to pick up my friend :)

This is a little late and actually happened BEFORE mine did but oh well, obviously I thought mine was more important to post (well it was more fun that's for sure!). I can't believe she is 4. She had requested a "girl" party, no boys were invited (except for cousins of course) and we had a Strawberry Shortcake theme that she picked out. I attempted, and I say attempted, to make her a cake because she can't have regular cake because of the wheat and it really didn't turn out to well! All the flower pedals pulled away from the middle so I had to try to be creative which also didn't work out too well but the kids did like it so whatever :)

Kassidy is a social butterfly making friends whereever she goes, it's so cute. She loves Princesses and loves to draw, especially now with pencils. She loves her family but sometimes obviously doesn't always show that, hehe. We love her so much and she makes us laugh. Happy birthday pretty girl!

I woke up to this outside our house this morning...

Even my neighbor friend had to stop to see what the heck was going on! Do you know how many people have seen this by now, it was 9:30am when I saw it!

This is what took place this morning. It's 9:30am and I'm still in bed, I hear the doorbell and Danny comes in to bring me a present that a friend dropped off. He then tells me I need to go outside and look at our house and Kassidy is yelling "you have to see mommy, it's a surprise" and she's all excited. I'm like, what the heck is going on and why do I need to go outside? Danny just keeps telling me I gotta see something so now I'm thinking, crap, someone did something to our house and I'm getting a little frightned cuz we've had kids vandalize our neighborhood and do stuff to our house. I open the door and I see bras strung across the driveway! What the heck is going on? I start walking and kinda giggling and Danny says "oh it gets better". So I turn the corner down the driveway and WOW I see all kinds of things all over the front of the house! I just started busting up and starring at this crazy sight! I couldn't stop laughing and starring.

Then later as my friend and I were sitting in my driveway coming home from lunch a car stopped to read the sign that I left up so we started laughing!

I have the GREATEST friends on this earth and I have not been able to stop laughing all day every time I think of this! Apparently there are so many people involved that I keep hearing about and it makes me laugh even harder. The donation of bras alone is so dang funny...thank you to all who made my bday THE BEST this morning! I was hoping some of the cute bras even fit but none do so watch out to whoever turns 40 next...you may have some "support" hanging out at your house :)

Kassidy and Chase

Kassidy and Chase are good friends but they haven't played together in a little bit so we went over to his house Friday. Mary decided to have Kassidy try riding Chase's motorized car since grandma wants to get her one for Christmas but she's been scared to even be near it. She was nervous at first but then we got her in with Chase driving. The only stipulation for Chase though was to keep it slow and not go fast. Ya, tell a kid who isn't scared to go fast to go slow, didn't work very well but at times he was a good sport about it. So here they are driving around like 2 little lovebirds enjoying the open air of the Hummer. By the end of the ride Kassidy was doing really good until Chase tried to ask again if he could go fast and we still said no and this time it made him cry, which then made Kassidy cry so I'm like whatever, keep going Chase, Kassidy will get over it. We were laughing (and of course I had to take a picture to blog) it was so comical as Chase was driving through his tears with Kassidy joining along side of him. The picture of them facing us is the crying one but you can't even tell dang it! It would have been even funnier if you could see the tears!

p.s. I didn't leave her in there for long, I felt bad cuz she wouldn't stop.

Kassidy graduated from pre-school today! What a big day for her...not really, it's only pre-school for goodness sakes :) It was VERY cute though! I was talking to my mom the other day and she says, are you going to get her all dressed up in a graduation dress? because I think that is just way too much. I said, well of course not, I think that is lame...I totally should have just for that comment and then sent her pictures! The 2 feet graduates all marched in up to the stage and sang us some songs and then after we enjoyed socializing and eating, what a fun morning! I can't wait for her to go back next year, she had a good time and so did I :)

Apparently he had to go to several different corners to get this cash and didn't want to look like an idiot buying gums so he came up with this plan. I was laughing. I hope we win, after all that. By the way I willl never do a garage sale again.

A train in the mall?

Kassidy and I went to the mall yesterday to return something and we got a See's chocolate and were sitting on the couches eating when Kassidy said "I see a train, do you see the train?" I'm looking around and I don't see a train so I told her she was crazy. I said "do you see it now?" and she said no and then said "you wait, you'll see the train". So a few minutes later her eyes get big and she says " see there's the train" and I turn around and low and behold there is a train coming through the mall! She says "see I told you so" with a huge smile on her face! So we go running down the mall to find where we get on this train and as she's running she looks at me with her arms swinging big and says "we're running mommy, this is good excercise". Good girl, I am glad I'm teaching you something good! So I wasn't sure if it was a free ride or what so when we got there the sign said $3 dollars per person, not per ride, per person so yep we paid $6 to ride this little train. I just don't understand why if you have to accompany your children on rides or take them to places that obviously you can't leave them at and you are obviously not partaking in the activities because it's a kids place, do the parents have to pay...I think it's retarded and a rip off. She did have a good time though and the smile on her face and the fun she was having was worth it and I guess that's why they charge it because they know you will pay.

We attended a baptism last night and when it came time for the blessing all the men were in the circle and Kassidy whispers to me...

"mommy there's a baby in there" - pointing to the circle of men
me - "shhh, no there's not" - thinking, what the heck, why would she say that?
"mommy there's a baby in there" - getting a little bit louder
"me - shhhhhhhhh, no there's not" - wanting her to be quiet but now I just figured out why she was saying that
"mommy there's a baby in there"
me - "no there's not, you'll see"

She thought it was a baby blessing because that's all she's ever seen. So after the blessing they all backed up and I said...

"see there's no baby, it's a man"

hmmmm, I wonder if she thought the baby turned into a man!

What do 15 women do for fun?

Alrighty, where do I start?

I guess it starts with a friend who wanted to do a 10K up in Pinetop AZ where she is from and got a whole bunch of friends to join her. I was one of them. Mind you the first run I ever did was a 4.2 Pat Tilman run back in April. So of course I wanted to take on the challenge and was excited. We all headed up on Fri. afternoon to her house that they still have there. It's a small mountain town where there are no malls or anything like that and so she was excited for all of her friends to come and see what her life used to be like before she moved to the big "city" of Chandler. We slept all over the place in beds, cots and air mattresses, didn't get much sleep, and woke up at 6:15 Sat. morning and headed to the starting line.

Tiffany was explaining the course to us and every time she would talk about it, it got worse so I really wasn't sure if she was lying so when we got there it would seem easy or that what she was saying was really true and this was gonna be hard! We started off and went up a hill, only a little hill, but our hearts felt like they were coming out of our chest. Seriously, the altitude was a killer! K, so the run was so hard, Tiffany was right, there were hills! Not HILL, HILLSSSSSS. I so wish I could have taken pictures of them! By about mile 4.5 my right leg muscle in the back of my knee was killing me and I finally had to walk. I was so bummed I wanted to cry! It was a nice excuse though to power walk up those huge hills. So for the next couple miles I would run, walk, run, walk. I made it to the finish in 1 hour and 15 minutes and ran through flats, hills, a dead skunk, car exhaust, pretty scenery and watching everyone's backsides wishing someone was watching mine! Well, technically I wasn't the last person but when there is only like 50 of you running that doesn't leave a lot of room to be closer to the front unless I could have ran the whole thing. Maybe next year.

After the run we all went to breakfast and had the most delicious food. It was so good some of us couldn't get enough, LOL.

I want to do it again, I accomplished something I never thought I would and if it wasn't for my stupid leg I would hope to think I would have ran the whole thing and not stopped to walk. Thank you Tiffany for letting us use your house and getting us all together for some fun!

P.S. On a side note, I went to step class this morning and was commenting to my friend "man this is easy compared to what I just did"! I kept thinking to myself if I can do a 6.2 mile run up and down hills in high altitude, I surely can do a step class!

Our camping trip

We went on our first camping trip as a family with a bunch of families in the neighborhood and we had a blast! We went to Mt. Lemmon in Tucson and it was the best place. It was so clean and had a ramada that was in the middle of all the campsites with bbqs, running water, lights, outlets and a fire pit. We also had a bathroom that had air freshners in it. I totally should have taken a picture of the guy who runs the place because he was "old man drunk". You could smell the alcohol on his breath but who can blame him, what else are you gonna do? He kept the place so clean and emptied our trashes at the Ramada like 3 times a day. There was a total of 11 families (25 kids). We had to put 2 families per tent site. This was a first for our family because Danny doesn't like to tent camp so I was a little nervous to see if he would like it or not but turns out he had fun. We borrowed a friends tent and another friends sleeping bag and mats because those things we didn't have and I'm so grateful to them. We left Fri. morning and came back Sun. morning. We hung out and ate, talked, sat around the fire, made smores, went fishing, drove to the small ski town and hiked. The kids had so much fun running footloose and fancy free with no care in the world and no rules! I did have a scary but proud moment when one of the girls runs up to me telling me Kassidy just climbed the mountain. I ran after her, up the mountain to find other kids and a dad on the top. (I'm a loser, I didn't take a picture of the mountain). They were making a fort with branches, leaves, flowers and moss. She saw the big kids go up so she decided she wanted to go and went up by HERSELF with flip flops, yes, that's what freaked me out!!! Then I was proud of her :) No one could believe that she had done that! Another adventure was fishing. She tried fishing really liked it. We didn't catch any so that was disapointing. We did however have a threat of a rainstorm while we were out. There were dark clouds and lots of thunder and we were actually wanting it to rain...but it never did...I think that would have been so fun. It was really nice to be away from home, in cooler weather, having friends to play with all day and just relax and not have TV or toys and just enjoy the outdoors. I can't wait for our next camping trip.

Today was the BIG day, Kassidy went to pre-school for the very first time! She wasn't even sad when I left :) She asked me if I stay and I said nope, mommy's don't go to school with their kids and she was ok with that. I wasn't sad when I dropped her off like I've heard from other mothers but I was worried, worried for the teacher, hehe. I hoped Kassidy was good, that she obeyed and was nice and shared with other kids. I was so happy to see her in class, it was going to be so fun for her! She is going 3 days a week for 2 hours which means I get to do stuff by myself...yipee!

I went to pick her up and the teacher asked me to stay so she can talk to me for a minute. Ah oh! Yep, she tells me that every activity that the teacher said they were going to do next, Kassidy "no" to or "i don't want to do that" so I have to talk to her now and find out why she was saying that and to figure out how to fix that...by the way...any suggestions would be fabulous :)

Kassidy tells me on the way home that she did her homework at class to which I respond oh really, I think homework means you do it at home so let's go do this paper when we get home. She doesn't really have homework but she didn't finish her paper where they learned the number 1 so we did that as homework, she was so excited! She has seen other kids do homework because I picked up 3 kids after school for a while and started them on their homework so now Kassidy feels like a real school girl, it's SO CUTE!

So off to school on Wed. and I hope it's a better day of listening!

Our friends invited us to go to Bartlett Lake for Labor Day and since we've never been there I had to get directions from the internet. I went to yahoo maps and printed them off and we were on our way...a 2 1/2 hour drive...not too excited about that but whatever. So we take off and about 45 min. into the trip our friends call to see where we are at and apparently we were taking the LONG way. He told us the way to get there from where we were but then the highway he told us to take dead ended! Well crap, where do we go now? He had no idea so we backtracked and found a gas station and she told us we were pretty much around the corner from the lake, just need to go about 20 more miles so we did and finally ended up there. So on our way back we decide to take the right way home and it only took us an hour at the most...yah the trip up there took us over 2 HOURS! I'm so mad at that stupid yahoo maps for making us do u-turns and getting us lost, but it always seems to happen to me! We had a good time though, Kassidy loved to play in the water with the kids and she would just go up to other kids and start playing with them. We got to jump off rocks, see fish, eat good food and also see a thunder storm roll in. Loved it!

I'm glad this isn't the only ice cream scooper we have! This is my friend's doing...she's stronger than she thinks :)

And on another note, I'm kind of embarrased, I bought this hairspray the other night at Bashas cuz I was in desperate need of some and I go to use it Sunday morning and the dumb thing won't spray. Both Danny and I try and you have to use both hands for it to come out, well, that's dumb so I take it in today to customer service and ask if I can just get one that works. The guy tries it for himself and WHAT DO YOU KNOW, the dumb thing worked! He's like, you just need to push it down toward the front not the back and he kind of laughs. So I laugh and grab the bottle and say "well, I'll be off with my hairspray then, never mind" as I'm trying not to look at him in the face.

Our California adventure

Danny had to go to California for 3 weeks on a work project so of course that is our opportunity to go on a mini vacation and not have to pay for a hotel or food PLUS we get to go back where we moved from and see friends and most importantly, sorry friends, the beach, woohoo!!!! We had so much fun seeing old friends at church, spending days with my bestest friend at our hotel pool, then her pool, then the beach, seeing grandma and uncle Brian and aunt Stacy, pedicures, visiting a dear friend who has brain cancer and visiting another dear friend who is getting married...so much to do and so little time!

The trip started out pretty frustrating. We got a later start that I had hoped for and we still had to drop off the dog at the boarding place and when we got there the stupid thing wouldn't get out of the car and so after we get back into the car I rearrange and then go to get the dvd player ready and I can't find the stupid plug thing for the car so of course then the player isn't going to work! So I call Danny freaking out cuz I aint about to drive 6+ hours with a little girl who has no movies to watch and I'm far enough away from home to go back and find out it's not there either SO we just stop at Best Buy in Avondale (cuz that's where we got the player) and they don't have it so the guy gives me a generic one...GREAT...let's be off. Get back in the car and decide to pull over before getting on the freeway to hook it all up to get ready when she wants it and seriously, that stupid thing doesn't work. So holy crap now I'm NOT going back into that store so I guess I'm gonna cry all the way to CA and hope I don't get into an accident cuz I can't see through all my tears! I can't even tell you, Kassidy did so good, played with her dolls, her giant sticker book and I was so happy that she seriously got a toy the next day! Here's the kicker...Danny finds the car thing to the dvd player in my car...whatever!!

So here are a bunch of pics. Who would have thought you could cram an SUV full of beach stuff into a Volvo...we did and I had to take a picture of it, we were cracking up. What you don't see is a boogy board and blankets. So as I'm lifting up the cooler it tears apart and it has our drinks and stuff, oh well, let's just put it in sideways so it doesn't spill.

Can't wait to go back to California, I love all my friends and of course the beach :)

I have now lost 34.8 pounds, gone down 3 sizes and lost a whopping 25.7 inches in 6 months!!! (so in essence I've lost my daugter, hehe). Woohoo for me and thank you Bodybugg, I love you but I can't wait to part ways, hopefully in 1 more month yah!!

A girl's gotta have her shoes right? I didn't even realize how many though until I went into Kassidy's room to tell her to quit messing around and go to sleep. This is how I found all of her shoes, all lined up in a half circle, uh huh, that's my child. She loves to make lines with things, even her books she lines up and then walks on them like they are steps. So I thought it was pretty funny so I told her to sit in the middle and I was going to take a picture...and of course she had to pose :)

So I'm downloading pics off my camera to post on my blog and low and behold I run across lots of pics that Kassidy apprently took all by herself...with my expensive camera! I guess it's bad mommy for leaving it out for her to use. Among the pics was this one of under our couch (or at least part of our couch) and it actually doesn't look too bad, just a lot of crumbs but no Kassidy toys, Chandler toys, hair things, brushes, plates, phones, or whatever else I've actually found under there before. So my question is...what's under your couch?? You might find some money or anything, something that you have long forgotten about until now and could be very important so you might want to go take a looksey and see what you find :)

Ya, I'm not a fast runner so I was right in

So a neighbor was asking us at the park one day when we were having a play date if anyone wants to run the Pat Tillman 4.2 Run/Walk with her and since it seemed that all my friends from church were doing races lately I said I would do it but I hadn't run in 50 million years and she's like, I haven't either so let's do it together. We start training on our own and the last month she decides she's not doing it so I am going to do it by myself. That's ok with me at this point cuz I've been training. It's also been fun cuz some friends have decided to join in with me running at night.

So yesterday was the big day and I was really nervous, not sure why but I was. My friend Mary decided she was going to do the walking part since she's pregnant but decides after we start running that she's going to try to keep up with me...so off we go. I finished in 55 min. and she was 4 min. after me which is really good since she hasn't been running...either that or I'm REALLY slow, lol. Anywho, it was so fun I want to keep doing them. Mary and I also registered our kids to do the .42 kids run/walk and we were so excited to watch them. We start the run and Kassidy decides after a few steps that she's a little too overwhelmed with all the people so Danny carried her to the finish line. I was disappointed cuz that was going to be the highlight of my day, she's been so excited to do it with her friends but oh well, maybe next year she'll be ok :) So enjoy the pics.

Sprinkles

If any of you have ever had a chance to have a Sprinkles cupcake you know what I'm talking about when you will drive 30 minutes just to get 1 and spend $3.50 each! There are only a few around the world and we are lucky enough to have one. So a friend calls me to go get some today and Danny never has had one and wants to know what all the excitement is about. We go get them, Kassidy actually gets to have one since it's Passover and they make some special gluten, flour free ones so I had to get a picture of her eating a cupcake that we bought from a real bakery...not homemade! I was so excited for her! lol. I'm also all excited to come home and have Danny try the red velvet I got for him and then the big letdown...he doesn't like it!!!! Can you believe that? I think he's from another planet and lost some respect for him, wow, I just can't believe he didn't like it...K, more for me!

Yes, Princess Belle made a visit to Walgreens in Chandler AZ and it was quite the experience. Kassidy was so excited to take a picture with her but then when we got there she was so shy but she sat on her lap anyway, it was so cute. When Danny was getting Kassidy dressed she says, wouldn't it be funny if I wore my Tinkerbell shirt and took a picture with Belle? and then she starts laughing, SO CUTE! My friend Esther, her friend from CA and I went hiking this past Saturday up Camelback mountain and HELLO that was a tough one. We hiked up one side and down the other but decided to do the hard part first and I am so glad we did cuz it was straight up for i think 1 1/2 miles with the total hike I believe at 3 miles. It was a 3 hour hike and it was exhausting but when you got to the top it was breathtaking! I haven't hiked since...I don't know when and I thought I was in decent shape from working out all the time, uh no. I'm so glad I did it and I love hanging out with Esther, she makes me laugh. Thanks for letting me join in with you and Angela :)

The pics posted above this are ones of the mountain where it was so steep that you can hold onto the rail to help you climb up or if you are going down, to help you down so you don't kill yourself! The side we hiked up was almost all rocks so it's like you were rock climbing.

The thinking of Danny

So Danny was entering all the stuff to file our taxes and he put it on hold until we got paid so he could pay it with our debit account instead of our credit card. I wanted to pay with our credit card and just get it done and over but here's the reasoning for the debit, which I just laughed at, but his thinking was in case we get another "stimulus" package then we will get it much faster than last year because we paid with credit card last year. Whatever Danny, we aren't getting another stimulus package and besides I don't want another one, it's stupid. Anyway, just wanted to share a story about Danny's brain. :)

Seriously, we went to the movies last night for a "girls" movie night and I'm sitting next to my friend, who will remain nameless to protect her, and we are all eating our popcorn, candy and sodas and she gets into her purse and pulls out these healthy snacks and THEN asks us if we want some! What? Carrots and pea pods while we watch a movie? Where's the fattening dip? What else you got in there, some celery and peanut butter? I just started laughing...what else do you do eat some, nope.

Construction workers

K so we were on our way to Vegas today when we came across road construction. We come across the person standing along side the road who's holding the "slow" sign and we think hmmmm, how do you ask for a raise when you have that kind of job? You can't really say "hey I hold that sign really well" can I have a raise? So we were wondering if you had had to get promoted to like maybe the guy who rides on the car along side the road and pick up the cones? Would you get hazard pay cuz you could fall off trying to reach for the dumb things? Just wondering.

It is NOT summer yet so why has it been so warm? We've been in the high 70's low 80's for probably 2 weeks now and finally we are getting some rain and cooler weather! I'm so not ready for heat yet! So after church Kassidy wanted "drink" some rain so she stood outside and was catching rain on her tongue...so CUTE! (just a side note, she did not wear those shoes to church, we had already started to change when it started raining again).

Let me start this post by saying that I'm not crafty or creative so I steal, I am a scraplifter and a craftylifter. My friend Carol has these cute letters in her bathroom, that she did, and in her kids rooms so I stole this idea from her...and she even showed me how to do it!!! SO EASY. So here is Kassidy's room in progress. I did the letters and I'm in love with them, I cannot wait until her room is done so I can stand back and just love it! Her room used to be lavendar with butterflies and all different colors but now that's she grown up (3) I wanted to change it so I did pink and brown and will paint a stripe across the room where the two colors meet (my dilema cuz I'm not sure what color) and then put vinyl daisies inside. I also got a curtain rod that has pink fuzzy stuff at each end and have to still get curtains to hang. So, here's to my craft that I did all by myself.

To date I have lost 6 1/2 inches overall and 10 pounds in 6 weeks! I am so happy this $200 gadget on my arm has worked! At first I was starving all the time but now I've gotten used to it and I just have to make sure I'm eating all my calories during the day. I am so happy and will hopefully be able to reach my goal of losing 30 more pounds by July of this year.

Ok, so my friend calls me today and asks me if I know who is now asking for a bailout. She said she saw it on the Today Show. Of course I couldn't guess. And then her comment was if they can get a bailout why can't she get some money for adoption? Hmmm...sad.

A little pet peeve of mine so bear with me...

This is what can happen if you tailgate someone. I really hate it when you are trying to drive safely, especially when you have precious cargo inside, and you have nutballs driving on your butt so close to your tail that you can barely see their headlights! How is it fair that they feel they can invade your space and potentially cause an accident with you in it and all the while you have been trying to prevent one by not tailgating someone else! I don't get it.
